Men's Shed at Bunnings

Welcome to the shed

Offering a place for men to interact and share their knowledge and skills with
like-minded individuals, delivering a service to the community of Greater
Springfield and Camira.

About

The Springfield Camira Men's Shed Inc was established in August 2018. We have over 50 members, with new men joining regularly.

At Springfield Camira Men's Shed ...

Our members come from a range of backgrounds (trade, retail, administration, etc.) and a wide age range.

The majority of members involve themselves with fixing and constructing various items, while several assist with administration of the shed and others simply enjoy interacting socially.

We provide members with the support, space, tools, equipment and supplies to undertake the activities or conversations they wish to be involved in.

We deliver community-focused projects utilising the skills of its members, the facilities and equipment of the shed and the supplies necessary to complete the project.

We currently meet each Tuesday and Thursday, 8.30 am to 2 pm, behind the Camira Community Centre at 389 Old Logan Road, Camira.

=====

As a community-based, non-profit group, our ability to fund the resources for activities and services we provide depends on fund-raising, grants and donations.

Donations are most welcome and may be tax deductible.  Basically, to be tax deductible, a donation must be a gift such as:

  • money of $2 or more

  • property, for example tools or supplies, that is purchased during the 12 months before making the gift.

If this is important to you, more details can be found at the Australian Taxation Office site:

=====

Due to the rapid growth of the group, it is challenging to accommodate all the group's activities and equipment in our current premises. While continuing to operate from here, we are endeavouring to gain sufficient support to establish and relocate to larger premises. This is a medium-long term undertaking, but necessary to ensure that the Shed continues to provide its valuable support to the community.

A parcel of nearby land has been committed to the Shed - we are now working to accumulate sufficient funds/other support for the 'infrastructure' (site works, buildings, connection of services, etc).

If you are able to assist, we would be pleased to hear from you.
